Week 8-9 - Rigging the Pig
After modelling the Pig, I need to rig the character. Since this is the first time for me to rig the character. I decided to go for the Auto Rig function in Maya.
Haha, that's' my first attempt.
After test and error, I finally ok to place all the joints and skeleton in the right places. And the next issue is the paint weight.

After modelling the Pig, I need to rig the character. Since this is the first time for me to rig the character. I decided to go for the Auto Rig function in Maya. Take the following as an example. As I want to whole head move along with the head joint. I paint the opacity 1 (Max) on the head.
Then I used the site mixamo by Adobe which allows users to upload their character and download different animation.

The animation on the right is the salsa dancing movement and I believe the rigging is ok now.
